Here is a quick heads-up on what’s coming in the next release. This build focuses heavily under the hood on cleanup and critical bug fixes.
Note: This release is all about optimization, code refinement, and fixing long-standing regional/sensor bugs. Stay tuned for the download links
Clean Flash Is Mandatory
Install Guide
Pre-requisites:
- Firmware: If you are coming from Modded Stock or HOS2, it is highly recommended to flash the latest HOS3 first before installing this ROM.
- Clean Flash is MANDATORY
Step 1: Flash Boot Images
Connect your device in Fastboot mode and run:
fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Step 2: Format & Sideload
1. Enter Recovery: Press Volume Up + Power.
2. Factory Reset: Go to Factory Reset -> Format Data/Factory Reset.
3. Prepare Sideload: Go to Apply Update -> Apply from ADB.
4. Sideload ROM: From your computer using: adb sideload filename.zip
5. Finally: You will asked : "Reboot to recovery?" -> Select YES.
6. Finish: Once back in recovery, select Reboot System Now.
Pro-Tips:
- If your fod sensors or speaker feel uncalibrated after the first boot, go to Settings > Xiaomi Parts to calibrate them.
- The first Day You May Feel Heating, Battery Drain and Laggy. Please be patient!
Device Tree Rebase: Fully cleaned up the DT. Removed redundant code and legacy components (like micharge and other clutter). From a user perspective, things will feel identical, but the codebase is significantly lighter and more optimized.
Hotspot Fixed: Properly resolved hotspot issues for Indian users and a few other affected regions.
Hotword / OK Google Fix: Fixed the underlying sensor crash issue. The sensor will no longer randomly die when hotword is active.
Revamped Brightness Framework: Re-tuned brightness maps to align fully with stock values, featuring specifically optimized (reduced) lux levels for indoor environments.
Mi Camera: Not included. Frankly, I haven't had the time to fix it up properly yet.
Regarding Fenrir:
Fenrir will NOT be included by default in this build. I have concerns regarding dirty flash compatibility if/when we update to newer blobs down the road. Until I can personally test this thoroughly, it will only be provided as a separate file. As always, flash the separate package at your own risk!
